Julie ALLEMAND, Marième BADIANE and Marine JOHANNES: three of the Lyon players for 2019-2020 are competing in the EuroBasket Women, which starts on Thursday in Latvia and Serbia.

The 2019 EuroBasket Women starts on Thursday in Latvia and Serbia with 11 days of competition on the programme to determine the European champion nation.

BELGIUM

With some players out (including the future Lyon player Helena Ciak, as well as Diandra Tchatchoung and Sara Michel) with a younger squad, France completed their preparation with four wins (Ukraine twice, Russia in extra time, and China) and two defeats against Turkey and Serbia. The Euro starts for France in Riga (Latvia), and may continue in the final phase in Belgrade (Serbia). Silver medallists in the last three editions, (2013, 2015, 2017), they will once again be aiming for the podium.
