Crowned French champions, it was time to celebrate in Lyon last Saturday.
Lyon ASVEL women’s team and all their supporters were invited to the Town Hall on Saturday by the Mayor of Lyon, Gérard COLLOMB, Thérèse RABATEL, councillor in charge of women’s right and Yann CUCHERAT, councillor in charge of sports and major events. President Tony Parker spoke after the Mayor of Lyon to thank all those who have worked in the past or present for the club.
After the ceremony, the pro team headed to the Astroballe for the LDLC ASVEL men’s quarter final away match against Le Mans. Applauded by the crowds, the Lyon women presented their trophy to the public after the first quarter, before seeing the team from Villeurbanne achieve a great win.
