A symbolic livery for IDEC SPORT’s two LMP2 cars in the 2026 ELMS

The French team based in Signes has unveiled the livery for its two LMP2 cars, #18 and #28, which are set to compete in the 2026 season of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS).

During the final ELMS race of the 2025 season in Portimao, the #28 car sported a “special anniversary” livery-but that wasn’t all. In fact, Paul Lafargue wanted to pay a double tribute: to his racing debut in the Porsche 911 GT3-R he shared with his father, Patrice Lafargue, and to a decade of history built by IDEC SPORT.

Between yesterday and today…

A nod to the origins when it was all just an idea, yet which allowed IDEC SPORT to gain momentum and forge its own path over the past ten years, this design symbolizes the connection between those first laps under the Ruffier Racing colors and the IDEC SPORT adventure that has become a benchmark on the European scene today.

2026…. We preserve and adapt

Understated and elegant, with their white base, the two LMP2s, with their sleek look, each feature two stripes framed on either side by a black border. Running from the nose to the rear, these also evoke the consistency, growth, and progress of this team, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year.

The #28, driven by Paul Lafargue, Paul-Loup Chatin, and Job Van Uitert, retains the team’s historic red, while the #18—which features the three drivers from the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Program: Jamie Chadwick, Valerio Rinicella, and Laurents Hörr—features a black livery.

Nicolas Minassian, Team Principal

I find this livery elegant. I also love this more classic look with a true shared identity on both cars through the red and black. Last year we celebrated IDEC SPORT’s 10th anniversary, and this year we will celebrate the team’s 10th participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Paul Lafargue, #28

It’s a pleasure to see this iconic livery again, one that symbolizes our beginnings in motorsports. Already in place for Portimao, the very last race of 2025, it caught our eye. Much appreciated, this design is simple, recognizable, understated, and effective. It perfectly represents who we are at IDEC SPORT.”

Paul-Loup Chatin, #28

I’m very happy to see the livery we had at Portimao again, which actually brought us some luck. Beyond that, it holds a lot of meaning and is historic for IDEC SPORT. It’s very representative of everything IDEC SPORT has accomplished over the past 10 years. Here we go for a new season that I hope will see the IDEC SPORT colors shine as high as possible.”

Job Van Uitert, #28

I loved the livery we had in Portimao last year. It’s very clean, simple, and retro. It really stands out, and the white/red combination always works!

Jamie Chadwick, #18

The combination of black and white gives the car a very classic yet elegant look, but it also shows just how determined my teammates, IDEC SPORT, and I are to achieve great things on the track for the 2026 season.

Valerio Rincella, #18

I’m very proud to race under the IDEC colors; it means a lot to me. The livery is very sleek, modern, and functional; it perfectly reflects the team’s identity. The two black lines beautifully highlight the car, giving it a strong presence on the track and making it shine. It’s a design that inspires confidence and motivates you to push yourself, knowing that you represent something solid and professional.

Laurents Hörr, #18

This design perfectly captures what I love—both classic and modern. The simplicity of this livery allows us to stand out, which is exactly what I appreciate.

The 2026 season will once again feature six races and will kick off at the famous Barcelona circuit in Spain on April 11–12, 2026, before moving to Le Castellet on the weekend of May 2–3, then to Imola in Italy on July 4–5, followed by a summer break. The season resumes on August 23 in Belgium at Spa-Francorchamps, continues in England at Silverstone on September 12–13, and concludes, as is tradition, in Portugal at Portimão on October 10.
