The final round of the 2025 ELMS will be held next month in Portimão, marking both the end of the season and IDEC SPORT’s 10th anniversary.
On this occasion, Paul Lafargue wanted to pay a double tribute: first to his debut in competition under the Ruffier Racing colors, with the Porsche 911 GT3-R shared with his father Patrice, but above all to a decade of history carried by IDEC SPORT.
The LMP2 will therefore feature a special livery, a nod to its origins when it was still just an idea, but which enabled IDEC SPORT to gain momentum and forge its own path over the last ten years.
The design symbolizes the connection between yesterday and today, between the first laps with Ruffier Racing and the IDEC SPORT adventure, which has become a benchmark on the European scene.

IDEC SPORT, 10 years of adventures
Founded in 2015, Patrice LAFARGUE’s team is now one of the leading names in endurance racing. The French team has managed to reinvent itself each season to take on ever greater challenges.
“If someone had told me in 2015 where we would be today, I would have found it hard to believe.”
Since its inception, IDEC SPORT has followed a bold trajectory in the world of endurance racing. Starting out as a modest operation, the team has grown season after season, driven by a constant ambition: to rise to the level of the best, without ever losing sight of its foundations—passion, rigor, and strong human values.
In a decade, IDEC SPORT has taken on many challenges, fielded up to two cars on the grid at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and collaborated with some of the biggest names in motorsport. Each step has strengthened its experience, professionalism, and desire to go further.
2025 marked a new milestone in this adventure. The team reached a symbolic milestone, a sign of the recognition it has earned in the paddock and beyond. This turning point is the result of collective effort, total commitment, and the trust placed in us by those who share this demanding and passionate vision of racing.

A little history…
The IDEC SPORT motorsport team has always competed in championships that put both mechanics and drivers to the test through endurance races. Built on the foundations of Ruffier Racing, it won the 24 Hours Series in its category on its first attempt.
The adventure then continued with the acquisition of two LMP2 cars from Ligier and a Mercedes AMG GT3. After a year of discovery in the ELMS, Patrice LAFARGUE’s team competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2017.
In 2018, an Oreca 07 was lined up alongside the Ligier in the ELMS and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, then in 2019 only the Oreca was entered in the ELMS.
In 2021, two Oreca 07s are entered for the entire ELMS campaign, as well as an LMP3. IDEC SPORT is also present in the Michelin Le Mans Cup.
In 2022, IDEC SPORT continues as before. In 2023, the team leaves the Ruffier Racing premises and moves into its own brand new workshop in Signes (Var), on the edge of the Paul Ricard circuit.
In 2024, IDEC SPORT finally climbs onto the podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans after eight appearances and fights for the ELMS title.
In 2025, the team signed a partnership with Genesis Magma Racing. The team, which will be competing in the final round of the ELMS season in a month’s time, has three victories in five races and will be attempting to win the European crown for the second time.

IDEC SPORT remains true to its DNA: that of an independent, ambitious team with its sights firmly set on the future. Ten years already… and the story continues.
