Find the IDEC SPORT map and route in the 2025-2026 Jules Verne Trophy

The IDEC SPORT maxi-trimaran, the legendary sailboat that holds the crewed round-the-world record (40 days, 23 hours, 30 minutes and 30 seconds, record set in 2017), set sail on Saturday, November 29 at 2:40 p.m. for a new attempt at the Jules Verne Trophy, this time entrusted to Alexia Barrier with an all-female crew. For this occasion, IDEC SPORT is offering real-time tracking of the boat via a map that allows you to dive into the heart of the adventure.

The interactive map dedicated to tracking the IDEC SPORT maxi-trimaran provides a comprehensive, real-time view of the round-the-world record attempt. Designed to be intuitive and immersive, it allows you to dive into the heart of the adventure by closely following the boat’s progress and the conditions encountered at sea.

1- Real-time tracking of the trimaran’s position
The map displays IDEC SPORT’s current position on the globe at all times. Each tracking point indicates:
• latitude and longitude,
• instantaneous speed and average speed,
• the course followed by the boat

2- Visualization of the route traveled
The map traces the entire route taken by the boat from the starting line in Ushant. It allows you to:
• compare the trajectory with the “ideal route,”
• analyze navigation choices,
• view the strategic options taken by the crew depending on the weather.

3- Comparison with the current records
One of the essential tools is the constant comparison with the reference time of the Jules Verne Trophy record. The map shows:
• the lead or delay in real time,
• the comparative position on the globe in relation to the record holder at the same point in the race.

4- Integrated weather information
To help you understand navigation decisions, the map displays several weather layers:
• atmospheric pressure,
• wind zones (strength and direction),
• low-pressure systems and anticyclones,
• sea conditions by zone.
This data allows you to track major strategic options, particularly in the South.

5- Zoom and global exploration
The interface offers different zoom levels:
• global view to see the entire round-the-world race,
• detailed zoom to follow the boat up close,
• view by ocean (North Atlantic, Doldrums, Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Cape Horn, etc.)

6- Timeline et replay
The “replay” function allows you to replay the boat’s progress from the start, day by day or hour by hour.
It is particularly useful for:
• analyzing fast phases,
• understanding slowdowns,
• comparing weather options at different key stages

7- Technical data of the boat
On certain screens, the map provides additional information:
• actual and apparent wind speed,
• maximum speeds recorded,
• distance traveled in 24 hours,
• distance to the finish line (distance remaining to the finish).

8- Multi-platform interface
The cartography is accessible:
• on a computer,
• on a tablet,
• on a mobile phone.

It is optimized for smooth use, even on the move. Click here =>> https://trimaran-idec.geovoile.com/julesverne/2025/viewer/
