On the occasion of the second round of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), held at the legendary Circuit Paul Ricard, Axelle Berthoumieu, a rising figure in women’s sports, traded the oval ball to discover the world of motorsport alongside our IDEC SPORT Racing team. This encounter perfectly illustrates the growing desire to bring together disciplines that share common values: commitment, team spirit, and performance.

She had the opportunity to discover behind the scenes of the motorsport world and interact with the team: engineers, mechanics, and drivers.
As a special guest of the IDEC SPORT team, Axelle Berthoumieu experienced full immersion in the daily life of a racing team competing on some of the most renowned European circuits. She climbed aboard one of IDEC SPORT’s LMP2 prototypes, gaining an insider’s view of the technological environment and the extreme precision required in endurance racing. It was a unique experience for the athlete, marked by the intensity and technical accuracy that define this sport.

Among the highlights of the day, Axelle had the honor of waving the start flag for the Michelin Le Mans Cup, held as a prelude to the ELMS. This symbolic gesture marked her direct involvement in the event, under the eyes of motorsport enthusiasts gathered around the Var-based circuit.

This encounter between Axelle Berthoumieu and the world of endurance racing perfectly embodies the synergy between two disciplines that may be different, yet are united by fundamental values: commitment, passion, and a constant pursuit of excellence.
