UPDATE – First ELMS podium for the #18 IDEC SPORT at Spa-Francorchamps

The #18 IDEC SPORT has been officially classified third in the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, the fourth round of the 2026 European Le Mans Series, following a post-race penalty for Vector Sport. Jamie Chadwick, Laurents Hörr and Valerio Rinicella therefore secure their first podium of the season.

A few hours after the chequered flag, the final classification of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps changed.

Initially fourth at the finish, the #18 IDEC SPORT moved up to third position following a post-race penalty for Vector Sport.

Jamie Chadwick, Laurents Hörr and Valerio Rinicella therefore claim their first European Le Mans Series podium together in the #18.

The result brings a particularly strong weekend for the crew to a positive conclusion.

After setting the fastest time in Free Practice 1, the #18 secured pole position with Valerio Rinicella on Saturday before starting Sunday’s 4 Hours of Spa from the front of the grid.

Jamie Chadwick made an excellent start and retained the lead before the race was quickly disrupted by a succession of neutralisations, with five Safety Car periods during the opening hour and a half.

After four hours of racing, the #18 crossed the line in fourth position before the post-race decisions altered the final classification.

The #18 is therefore officially classified P3 at Spa-Francorchamps.

For IDEC SPORT, this first podium for Jamie Chadwick, Laurents Hörr and Valerio Rinicella rewards a weekend in which the crew showed strong performance from the very first laps on track.

The #28 of Paul Lafargue, Paul-Loup Chatin and Job Van Uitert remains tenth in the final classification.

IDEC SPORT therefore leaves Spa with a podium and more championship points, before the European Le Mans Series resumes at Silverstone from 11 to 13 September.
