Grand Prix de l’âge d’or – Classic Endurance Racing

With full starting grids of around fifty cars, including a Porsche 935, BMW M1, Lola T70, Ferrari 512 BBLM – and drivers determined to pay honour to the glorious past that their cars have been through, it was a fine sight.

Since 2004, Classic Endurance Racing looks back to a particular period from 1966 to 1979, when endurance races reigned over car racing. The golden age for Ford GT40s, Porsche 910s, Ferrari 512s… and their drivers: Jacky Ickx, Henri Pescarolo, Gérard Larrousse,… whose race course was not limited to the extraordinary Le Mans 24 Hour Race, but also included the top European circuits in the World Car Racing Championship.
