{"id":8616,"date":"2019-10-31T18:43:56","date_gmt":"2019-10-31T17:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.idecsport.com\/idec-sport-speeding-towards-the-cape-of-good-hope\/"},"modified":"2019-10-31T19:18:20","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T18:18:20","slug":"idec-sport-speeding-towards-the-cape-of-good-hope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.idecsport.com\/en\/idec-sport-speeding-towards-the-cape-of-good-hope\/","title":{"rendered":"IDEC SPORT SPEEDING TOWARDS THE CAPE OF GOOD HOPE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Since yesterday, the giant IDEC SPORT has been heading east and Francis Joyon has continued to accelerate on the direct route towards the Cape of Good Hope, his next target and a key waypoint on the route to the island of Mauritius and the finish of the Mauritius Route record, which he has been attempting to beat since 19<sup>th<\/sup> October.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>670 miles in 24 hours and 390 miles ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The skipper of IDEC SPORT has been maintaining incredibly high speeds over the past 24 hours clocking up more than 670 miles or more than 1200kms in 24 hours. The big red trimaran is currently speeding along at almost 35 knots and this Thursday evening is 390 miles ahead of the pace for the Mauritius Route record.
