Struggling against the Tarbes defenders, Lyon had to work hard to win this quarter final away (75-70). They have given themselves a chance of qualifying for the semi final on Saturday in Tarbes. <\/p>\n

\nAfter 5 minutes of observation, Lyon grabbed the advantage over TGB to lead 25 – 16 at the end of the first quarter. But Lyon was hindered by the defense from the opponents and Tarbes equalised (36-36), taking advantage of some mistakes. Lyon was able to rely on their sniper, Ingrid TANQUERAY to remain ahead (39-38) at the break.
\nLacking pace against Tarbes, Lyon found it hard to go on the attack and had to rely on Julie ALLEMAND (12 decisive passes), and Alysha CLARK to keep ASVEL afloat. While Lyon hoped they were safe, they were not thinking of Alexis PRINCE (62-60). However, the local team kept at it to keep the lead and win this precious first round against Tarbes. <\/p>\n

If they win on Saturday in the SW, Lyon will make it to the semi-finals of the French championship. If they lose, it will be decided on Tuesday 23rd April at Mado Bonnet.<\/p>\n
