Nicolas Minassian,\u00a0IDEC SPORT sports\u00a0director, took the wheel during the 24 hours of Daytona and signed a podium\u00a0with\u00a0Kyle Tilley and Dwight Merriman in their Era Motorsport run Oreca 07.\u00a0\u00a0The two drivers will be joined by\u00a0Jonathan\u00a0Kennard to share the seat of the Oreca # 17.<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/><strong>A first for Dwight Merriman and Kyle Tilley<\/strong><br class=\"\" \/>&#8220;Participating in the 24 Hours of Daytona and\u00a0the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the same year is just fantastic&#8221;\u00a0said Era\u00a0Motorsport owner and driver Kyle Tilley. &#8220;The opportunity with IDEC SPORT\u00a0came around with\u00a0their Sporting Director Nicolas Minassian. Both Dwight and I\u00a0really loved working with Nicolas. It\u2019s an\u00a0exceptional opportunity. It\u2019s the\u00a0biggest car race in the world, and we can be part of it! I am still a little\u00a0speechless\u201d. Dwight Merriman declared: &#8220;Never in my wildest dreams did I\u00a0think we\u2019d be running the 24\u00a0Hours of Le Mans in our first year!&#8221;<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/>The current Covid-19 restrictions for international travels require a mandatory\u00a0period of self-quarantine\u00a0upon arrival, which would likely result in Tilley and\u00a0Merriman missing the IMSA Series round at Laguna\u00a0Seca September 4-6 if\u00a0unchanged, the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans being scheduled to be held September\u00a019-20.
