In one month, the European Endurance Championship will kick off in Barcelona with the prologue on April 7, 2026. This is an opportunity to take a look back at this competition, which once again this year confirms its status as the benchmark in European endurance racing. 2026 will see the largest number of cars ever entered, with 47 cars, divided into 11 LMP2, 12 LMP2 Pro\/Am, 10 LMP3 and 14 LMGT3, ready to compete on six of Europe’s most prestigious circuits.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All participants agree that this championship is particularly challenging and that each race must be approached with great humility. Most of the teams that make up the field have been competing for many years. They know their LMP2 cars inside out, and the stable calendar with a variety of tracks presenting complex challenges means that IDEC SPORT cannot afford to overlook any detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For several years now, the ELMS has been one of the most competitive championships in Europe. It also trains many young drivers, mechanics, and engineers and offers an ideal platform for gentleman drivers. The level is extremely high and each race is a battle where the smallest detail can make all the difference. The circuits are varied, the teams are very experienced, and the crews are particularly strong, all within a very high-level ACO ELMS organization. In these conditions, we will have to be flawless: consistent and competitive, avoiding mistakes, and anticipating problems. If we want to play a leading role, humility and consistency will be essential. With the #28 and #18 Idec Sport cars, we have two crews capable of achieving great things this season.<\/em> “<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reliable and stable schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

IDEC SPORT looks forward to seeing you in early April in Spain at the Barcelona circuit <\/strong>with its two LMP2 cars for the prologue and the first race of the season. This is a track that smiled on the French team in 2025. Then, at home in Le Castellet in May<\/strong>, the two crews of #18 and #28 will try to repeat last year’s great result, which ended in victory for #18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The calendar will take a break in June to make way for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The season will then resume in Italy with the 4 Hours of Imola<\/strong>. Local driver Valerio Rinicella will be looking to show off his talent alongside his teammates, Laurents H\u00f6rr and Jamie Chadwick. Belgium<\/strong>, with its legendary 7 km Spa-Francorchamps Circuit, will host the fourth round in August<\/strong>. This is a track where Job Van Uitert will be able to show off his talent alongside Paul-Loup Chatin and Paul Lafargue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September<\/strong>, the competitors will meet in Great Britain for the 4 Hours of Silverstone<\/strong>, the home race of our talented British driver, Jamie Chadwick. Often synonymous with the conclusion of a regularly contested season, as tradition dictates, the final will take place in Portugal, at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portim\u00e3o, in early October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
