The final round of the season, Portimao will be the ultimate stage for the French team in the 2025 edition. Among the three contenders for the ELMS title is the #18 IDEC SPORT \/ Genesis Magma Racing team driven by Jamie Chadwick, Mathys Jaubert, and Dani Juncadella, who have recorded three victories in five races. They are six points behind the current leader and one point ahead of the third-placed team. As for the #28 car driven by Paul Lafargue, Paul-Loup Chatin, and Job Van Uitert, which will feature a special 10th anniversary livery, the latest results have motivated the trio, who are determined to finish on a high note. Suffice to say that the Portuguese race already promises adrenaline and excitement.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opened in 2008, the circuit located in the Algarve in southern Portugal is 4.692 km long. One of its distinctive features is its surface and numerous bumps, which make driving difficult. Described as spectacular, it is renowned for its technicality, its elevation change (24 m between the lowest and highest points) with its 15 turns, some of which are blind, and its long straight stretch of nearly one kilometer. Nicknamed \u201cthe roller coaster,\u201d it is a very fast, old-fashioned yet ultra-modern track that is slippery and puts a lot of strain on the tires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Goodyear 4 Hours of Portimao race will take place on Saturday, October 18.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s already the last race and the intensity remains as high as ever. The whole team is motivated and united, and the drivers are eager to get back behind the wheel on this magnificent circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the ups and downs of the season, the #18 car is still in contention for the championship, and the #28 car is coming off two strong fourth-place finishes. We’re heading to Portimao with the same fighting spirit we’ve had all season, in attack mode with the goal of making as few mistakes as possible on the track and in the pits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Portimao has already been the scene of excellent results for IDEC SPORT in the past. Let’s be proud of the work we’ve accomplished. Paul-Loup Chatin, driver of the #28 alongside Paul Lafargue et Job Van Uitert<\/strong> I’m really excited about this final race in Portimao. After a difficult start to the season, we’re back at the front of the pack with two fourth places in a row, and we’re going to do everything we can to get a great result in this final round with Paul and Job. All three of us love this track, and I know we can do well together. I can only hope to do justice to this special 10th anniversary livery. There’s also a lot at stake for the IDEC SPORT team with the sister car fighting for the championship. It’s important that we work as hard as possible as a team to help the sister car as much as we can in the championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three wins out of five races. An unfortunate penalty at Spa and a mistake I made at Imola meant we could have done even better in our first season with IDEC SPORT and Genesis Magma Racing. But it’s already incredible for the three rookies that we are. It’s very difficult to say today who will emerge victorious from this highly competitive championship, as there are so many variables. The Portimao circuit is fantastic but not the easiest to find the right settings for. What is certain is that we will take it step by step, as we always do, and we will do our best to ensure the best possible outcome for the season. I can’t wait to join my teammates and the whole IDEC SPORT team for this final round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
