For their third home match out of four, Loïc LAMBERT’s squad played at home against Bergerac Périgord at the Allées de Blois stadium on Saturday evening.
You had to be there on time if you wanted to see the only goal of the evening. Some good work down the left-hand side by JB. BADIA MOUANGA, a centre and the ball came to J. DAFNIET from 16m50 out. He carefully lined up his kick with the inside of his right foot and sent the ball into the back of A. LOUSTALLOT’s net (2nd min). Blois could have added more goals, but were not lucky. It took two excellent performances from the Blois keeper A. MARFAING to stop Bergerac equalising before half-time.
The second half was up and down with the visitors making some dangerous moves, but the Blois defenders and keeper prevented them from scoring the equaliser. Blois were close to scoring two goals (M. LOPES and JB. BADIA MOUANGA) (65th min) in one move and had another chance with B. DUVOUX after a pass by J. POPINEAU (82nd min).
They could breathe a sigh of relief after five minutes of extra time when the referee C. MOUYSSET finally blew his whistle with the score 1 – 0 in favour of Blois.
